Arh yeah, another compilation featuring me. This time it's the remix version of Holbek's (Steen Rock) album "Frit Løb". This is all danish but i am sure that it can be enjoyed if you don't understand the words. It contains remixes by Contekst, Tue Track, Mikael Simpson, Upskiboo, Lulu Rouge, Scratch Magic and more. Great stuff on there..

A Great Mix

I'm in a band called Analogik and we have made some records before, but we are really terrible slow to produce new finished tracks. So in order to deal with this, and to speed things up a bit, we decided to put out an ep with some of our newer tracks. That was a while ago, it's been finished on my computer for a long time now, but I guess things just take time, even in these fast paced internet days. But anyways, it's out now.
Here's a player so you can have a listen:

One thing that is different for this record is that we have spend a lot more time recording it. Normally we just record straight in to the computer, instrument by instrument- layer cake style. We also did that for this record. The difference was that after we did that, and in theory was finished, we erased all that and recorded everything again, but this time all together at the same time. Like a normal band would do I imagine. And instead of recording to a computer we recorded it onto a big 24 track reel to reel recorder. The outcome of all this "extra work" is that the tracks sound a lot more "together" especially the blend between analog sources and the very digital computer sounds. I really think we took our sound to the next level, and I'm very pleased with the result.

Beasts volume 2 is out and I got a beat on there. I have been looking forward to this one for some time, mostly because I really dig vol1, but also because I'm really happy with the beat I did for this one. "Beasts" (both vol 1 & 2) is a compilation of tracks made by danish beatmakers, there's no rapping, it's all just raw beats.. and it's a free download so give it a listen, there is some great tracks on that album.
Also check out vol1 which was, in my opinion, one of the nice albums in 2010.

Unknown TDK - the Space Tape Mix by Doctor Lazer
This is a mix of improvised electronic music recorded direct to cassette by me and my man Timo during the christmas 2010.
The setup is me on a laptop running Ableton and Maschine, and Timo on Monomachine and a Juno-1. All the music was improvised on the spot and recorded straight down to cassette on my crappy 2.hand recorder. We ended up with around 10 90minute tapes with music all over them, which was then cut down to this 30 minute mixtape..

This is some sound design i did for a school assignment.
My idea was to try to make it sound very light and "floaty" and as if all the parts where a perfect fit.

Here's a video of me playing one of my (at that time) newer songs live. This is almost two years ago when we were touring a little bit in Belgium and Germany with Analogik. It's alway fun to play in foreign countries, you really notice the difference in crowd behavior, for instance in Belgium (or maybe it's just Brussels, I don't know) they go WUW in every possible spot.
Hope to come back someday again.

Danish hiphop legend Steen Holbek aka Steen Rock of Nobody Beats The Beats fame (among a lot of other things), has made a very fine album which I believe you would like.
Partner in rhyme Khal Allan is featuring in the track "Hvor Langt Skal Vi Ud" which is also my favorite track on the album. The whole thing has got a kind of 70' feeling to it, which I like a lot. Give it a spin.

The flight from Copenhagen to Amsterdam takes about 1.5 hour, in that time there's about 45 minutes where the seatbelt sign is off and you can use your computer. This beat was made on one of those flights and is about chilling at high velocities.

Time has passed since my last post, stuff has happened and music was made. I will try to do a little summary:
I lived in Denmark, now i Live in Holland
I was working on this beat, now it's done
I was making music with Analogik, now there's an EP
I was unemployed, now I'm a student at this school

hmm, what else is there to say. I'm also in a new band called Khal Allan band, until now we have played at Stengade and the Roskilde festival, a pretty good concert record so far.

I will try to put up some new stuff soon.
